  • Overview

    Quartz is currently seeking an analytical problem solver to join our organization as a Business Analyst (BA) II. This position will focus on supporting population health programs built using Epic’s Healthy Planet tools and utilization management technology, systems, and tools. This role will be responsible to participate in gathering requirements and designing complex application and resolving systems problems. This role will also develop test plans that ensure that business requirements have been met while understanding business unit activities, goals and critical success factors that influence systems applications.

    Responsibilities

    • Work with business units, management, and vendors. Analyze, develop, and document detailed business requirements and business processes for proposed solutions to business initiatives.
    • Support Epic systems workflows and configuration related to utilization management
    • Support troubleshooting and research to determine root causes of issues
    • Develops detailed business/user acceptance test scenarios and test cases. Executes test plans and documents results.
    • Working closely with Project Managers, demonstrate leadership on project teams and acts as a resource during project planning and testing stages of the project.
    • Recommends standards, procedures and process improvements.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, or related field or the equivalent experience in systems analysis and design, process analysis, or system build and support
    • 1+ years of experience in a Business Analyst role
    • 3+ years of experience in population health, referrals, or claims processing is strongly preferred but not required
    • A fundamental understanding of system hardware and software
    • Ability to solve problems using advanced analytical skills.
    • Advanced knowledge of PC applications including MS Office with developing fluency with tools such as Business Objects and Visio
    • Knowledge of Epic systems including but not limited to Healthy Planet or other Epic Ambulatory systems
    • Experience working in the healthcare industry preferred
    • Strong communication skills and experience interacting with other employees at all levels of the organization
    • Works well under pressure and adaptable to change
    • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously: strong organizational and time management skills
