  • Overview

    Quartz is seeking a detail-oriented person to join our Internal Audit team as an Audit Analyst. On a regular basis, this person participates in audit projects and risk assessments to ensure compliance with corporate policies.

    Responsibilities

    • Utilize business knowledge to establish audit plans that will effectively mitigate financial, compliance, operational and reputational risks
    • Audit business operations using appropriate risk-based methodology and ensure all findings are corrected accurately and timely.
    • Identify trends and offer data-driven recommendations to challenge business decisions and strengthen internal controls to mitigate future risks.
    • Communicate findings and process improvements to individuals within the business
    • Assist with researching and interpreting regulatory and audit requirements; staying current with auditing and accounting requirements

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Accounting or related discipline. Equivalent experience will be considered in lieu of education requirement.
    • 2+ years of experience in auditing, accounting or finance
    • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Business Objects or other query tools, Microsoft Excel and other reporting and presentation tools.
    • Certification as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) is preferred
    • Public accounting experience, auditing information technology processes and health insurance operations is preferred
    • Ability to learn and become a subject matter expert in company processes, systems and controls
    • Strong communication and organizational skills – must be able to translate auditing steps, key findings and recommendations to management in a narrative report and verbal discussion as well as interact with individuals at all levels within the organization
