Overview

Come Find Your Spark at Quartz! The Project Portfolio Analyst will analyze portfolio and project management functions in the Project and Portfolio Management Office (PPMO). This position will act as an administrator for project management tooling ensuring data integrity and continuity. The Project Portfolio Analyst will provide robust reporting and analysis including executive dashboards, capacity oversight, and maintenance of KPIs (Key Performance Indicators). This role will provide data insights and early warnings for projects.

  • Starting salary is based on skills and experience: $71,000 - $88,800 plus robust benefits package

Responsibilities

  • Project Management Office Administrator for systems
    • Oversees creation of new projects and workspaces.
    • Ensures consistency of project structure and reporting within tools.
    • Project resource maintenance.
    • Ensures the data integrity within the tool to facilitate proper reporting.
  • Reporting and analysis for capacity planning and portfolio of projects
    • Collaborates with Project Managers on enterprise portfolio management.
    • Develops and deploys reporting and dashboards and relevant insights to facilitate decisions around resource management, risk management, portfolio prioritization, project and program interdependencies management, and portfolio optimization.
    • Reporting and analyzing Line of Business roadmaps and project portfolios against project intake requests evaluating the remaining budget and capacity constraints.
    • Analyzes project, portfolio and capacity data including trends, insights, and recommendations for action.
    • Prepares and distributes weekly projects actual/forecast reports. Partners with PPMO leadership to develop and implement core portfolio management processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, computer science, engineering, accounting, economics, or information systems and 2+ years of experience with data analytics, financial analysis, report generation, dashboard creation, data storytelling, and business process mapping.
  • OR associate degree in business administration, finance, computer science, engineering, accounting, economics, or information systems and 5+ years of experience with data analytics, financial analysis, report generation, dashboard creation, data storytelling, and business process mapping.
  • OR high school equivalency and 8+ years of experience with data analytics, financial analysis, report generation, dashboard creation, data storytelling, and business process mapping.
  • Experience in project management methodologies and managing small projects.
  • Experience acting as a technology tool or platform administrator or superuser.
  • Basic Project management/project coordination experience.
  • Project portfolio tool administration experience or similar systems administration experience (Team Dynamix, MS Project, Adobe Workfront, Planview or similar).
  • Experience creating executive-level dashboards and reports with commentary/insights.
  • Basic financial and programming concepts.
  • Advanced skills and demonstrated proficiency in MS Excel, Power BI, JIRA, SharePoint, MS PowerPoint, or other Business Intelligence and visualization tools.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving/critical thinking skills

Hardware and equipment will be provided by the company, but candidates must have access to high-speed, non-satellite Internet to successfully work from home.
